Blogroll Spam!
I didn’t think it was possible, yet here it is: Blogroll Spam!
How they managed to get on my blogroll I have no idea, but I have one or two questions for blo.gs.

Update: Migrated to using the internal Wordpress link manager. This solved all my problems. About time too, it seems some existing blogroll sites are starting to change URLs, not names!
What the….
This is the first time I heard about blogroll spam. Does it mean that blo.gs is not spam-free? Oh, I hate spams
Dude!
By the way, why not use WP’s internal link manager to organize your blogroll? I do, and it gives me full control over the site’s titles. Spam? Not on my site! :)
I have not yet received any response from blo.gs. But if it is what I suspect it is, then the problem is not that there’s spam on blo.gs, but rather that there is a security breach somewhere in the code that adds blogs to my list of favourites.
The thing is, I actually need to add the blogs myself, and to do this requires log in.
Apparently not for this spammer.
Mathias,
I have no idea how to get the internal link manager in Wordpress to show “latest updated link” topmost. I take it you have suggestions?
There you go, Joen.
What’s worse is the list of recently added blogs at blo.gs - they’re all spam blogs. Great.
Maybe their automatic-registration-blocker was decoded?
Thanks Mathias,
I’ve been completely away from the Internet this weekend, so your trackback landed in the queue. Unfortunately a couple of real spams landed on the site, so remind me to turn on “must have previously approved comment” before I go on weekend in the future.
I’ll take a look at the article, and hopefully I’ll migrate!
Tristan,
I’m not sure what you mean, but these blogs were not only added to blo.gs, they were also added to my specific list of favourites. Not cool.
